We are using DocuSign for a POC. A DocuSign account has already been created and successfully connected to Salesforce.However, when we try to add or use Salesforce merge fields while sending an envelope, we receive the following error:“This Account lacks sufficient permissions to use Merge Fields”The integration between DocuSign and Salesforce is active, but merge fields are not working. We are unsure if we are missing any required permissions, settings, or configuration on either the Salesforce side or within DocuSign for merge field access.We would like help identifying: Which Salesforce user DocuSign uses to resolve merge fields Any additional permissions or setup required for merge fields in a POC DocuSign account Please let us know what configuration or access is missing to resolve this issue.

Hi Community,I’ve raised a case with Docusign also, but I thought I’d post this issue here.Our users use Docusign within Salesforce to generate and send their quotes to prospects and customers.However, when logging in today, we all have the same error message: My ‘test’ above was one field in a new word document uploaded to Salesforce and I clicked preview, as you do when creating a new Docusign template in Salesforce.I received this error and, basically, I have no idea what to do next.Has anybody else experienced this or know how I can fix it?Thanks

Hi Community,I have four DocuSign tabs mapped from Salesforce merge fields: Text Fields A, B, C Checkbox D All fields are optional by default.Validation Needed If the signer fills any one of Text Fields A/B/C → all three must be filled OR the signer can simply select Checkbox D Leaving all fields blank is allowed Partial entry in A/B/C is not allowed QuestionWhat is the best DocuSign way to enforce this signer-time validation?Can this be achieved using Conditional Rules, or is another approach recommended?(Screenshot attached for reference.) 

Everything looked to be going OK, except whenever i put a merge field on my document I got an ‘unable to connect to service’ message. I found a post that said disconnect and reconnect the docusign account which I did but it made no difference. I then tried uninstalling and reinstalling the package from the AppExchange. It claims to be installed successfully but I now just get a grey screen on the DocuSign setup tab and a ‘refused to connect’ message.Any thoughts on how I can fix this please.

 Hello,I need to implement the following on my document sent for signature :Add 5 checkboxes (checkbox group with 5 options) on the document (A, B, C, D, E)The signer should be able to select atleast one of the options (multi-select)When the document is signed (completed), the checkboxes chosen should fill in a textarea field in Salesforce (or if you suggest any other compatible Salesforce field with DocuSign checkbox field). The main aim is to writeback the checkbox values in Salesforce.I have created custom document fields in DocuSign with the writeback option to the text area field. I tried with one checkbox field chosen. The field in Salesforce is filled , but as value 'true' and not the exact value of the checkbox.Can you please help to implement the writeback of the checkboxes to Salesforce with the exact values?Thank you in advance for your help.

I am a Salesforce consultant implementing Docusign in an Org for a client. The team would like to be able to click the button to generate the document from an Opportunity record, make edits to the text anywhere in the contract and then send for signature. They would like to do all of this from within Salesforce and not have to download the document, edit in a word processor, re-upload to Salesforce to then send for signature. Could this be possible in the Docusign functionality in Salesforce using the Docusign app?

I am working in DocuSign Gen in DocuSign Apps Launcher in salesforce. I have a paragraph in my Word Template that I want to suppress if a certain text field in salesforce is blank. I want the output document to not show the blank space where that paragraph should be. This is my text <# <Conditional Test="/Opportunity/OEM_Account_txt__c" NotMatch="" /> #>MY CONTENT HERE<# <EndConditional/> #>I am getting this error: TemplateErrorExists:Conditional: Cannot specify match or NotMatch with Test attributeCan someone help me understand how to evaluate if a field is blank?

Hi, we have added a document and when we go to add merge fields we get a, ‘Attempt to de-reference a null object’.  The message disappears and then we can add merge fields. We then go to add the merge fields fields into the document and receive a ‘Save Error: Some Fields may be out of Sync Error’. We have disconnected as suggested in related articles but that did not solve the issue. Any other suggestions?Thanks

Hello, with the new Docusign security setting in Salesforce, I disconnected and reconnected the organisation to Docusign, and since then I have been experiencing a problem.When the user reconnects to Docusign via Salesforce CPQ, they receive an error message indicating that the URL does not exist. They wait 10 minutes and then they can generate their document without any problems.I made a Salesforce query that shows me the URL stored in my flow, which is different from the URL in the error message.My flow calls the following URL:URLFOR(“/apex/dfsle__gendocumentgenerator”.  The URL in the error message contains  apex/dfsle__CompleteSpringOAuthHave you encountered this problem? Do I need to change my URL in my flow?waiting

Can anybody tell me why this doesn’t work?I have configured the below in the Envelope Template within Salesforce.  We use Microsoft Word documents to create the Gen Templates.I’ve set the PO Number text box to ‘required’ so that if the picklist is ‘Yes’ then the PO Number should be visible and is mandatory for the signatory to populate. Thanks 

Our client is utilizing DocuSign Apps Launcher, and using DocuSign Envelope Templates to tag Documents for Clients to fill out.  Some of the information they would like to have pre-populated from Salesforce, so we added the Merge Fields.The settings for the Merge Fields are to not write back to Salesforce, yet any updates made on the documents are writing back to the identified merged field in Salesforce.How can we stop the updates from coming back into Salesforce?  We need the forms to populate with the information known, but if it’s not in Salesforce, and is added after the document has been generated, we do not want those updates going back into Salesforce.

Hi all,I am getting the following error in one of my Salesforce sandboxes, not in others. The error is from a Docusign log, the actual page when I try to access DAL, Gen Templates, or sending a Docusign from a button is blank page with a loading wheel.Failed to complete product setup. dfsle.APIException: [401] Unauthorized Reference ID: (dfsle)I have tried the suggestions in this article however to no luck. We are encountering a MIXED_DML_OPERATION error after upgrading our DocuSign App Launcher package to version 7.9.2. When I tried to click on the Generate Document, I got this error ‘List has no rows for assignment to SObject An unexpected error has occurred. Your solution provider has been notified. (dfsle) User is already a Content user.. Any advice is greatly appreciated 

I am getting the following error in SF when attempting to save a template from DocuGenUnexpected character ('<' (code 60)): expected a valid value (number, String, array, object, 'true', 'false' or 'null') at input location [1,2] I have tried a very simple template with just some text and a Text field and I receive this error when I click on the Next button to save the template. Hello everyone! I know how to set an expiration date within the DocuSign template or sending process. However, for our business case we need a way to set an exact time. I.e. the offer should not be valid for several days but in most cases only today until x pm. Is it possible to set an exact expiry time?I'd like to create an integration between Salesforce and Docusign to send expiration date and time information.I would create a custom field in Salesforce for the Docusign Envelope object and then populate it with the values, send it to Docusign, receive it via a custom field, and send the document with an expiration date and time.Does this make sense? Is it possible?If not, what other approach can I take?Today, just the date doesn't make sense for my client.Thank you,Arthur

We're seeing following the update/upgrade instructions on our DocuSign Connect Salesforce integration. Specifically, when we attempt to update our sandbox from 6.3 to 6.4.5, I'm seeing an error messagePermissionSet(DocuSign_Administrator) The SigningCertificate parameter value doesn't exist or you may not have permission to access it." (screenshot attached). I’m not sure what to make of this, and because the managed package’s code is not accessible I can’t really tell where it’s expecting to find SigningCertificate.
