Code of Conduct

Overview

The following are the Terms of Service for the Docusign Community. Your use of the Docusign Community Site is subject to Docusign's Terms of Use and Privacy Notice.

Please work with an Administrator on your Account to contact your Account Manager or Contact Support directly. For security purposes, your account will need to be verified. Other members and Community Moderators will not be able to assist you with these requests.

Our Pledge

We as members, contributors, and leaders pledge to make participation in the Docusign community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, caste, color, religion, or sexual identity and orientation. We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community.

Our Standards

Be friendly

Users must treat one another with respect. Users will not post any racist, sexist, discriminatory, threatening or otherwise insulting comments, will not use coarse language, make inappropriate jokes or otherwise harass other users.

Stay legal

Users may not post any pornographic or otherwise offensive material, share illegal or copyrighted content, attempt to distribute illegal substances, distribute viruses or other material which gives you access to the computers or systems of other users, or generally anything that is considered illegal by your country of residence.

Stay on topic

Please do not change the subject of a discussion to something not intended by the original poster. Any off-topic posting or “hijacking” of threads will result in content being removed and ultimately can cause users to be denied access to the community.

No commercial use

Users may not use the forum for (commercial) activities such as the advertising or sale of products or services, the sending of commercial messages (spam), the offering of (interactive) games or the advertising of other chat forums or websites.

No sharing of private information

Please refrain from sharing personal information (telephone numbers, email addresses, etc.) of yourself, other people or companies.

No multiple accounts

It is not allowed to own multiple accounts on this community. If the Community Team detects double accounts all secondary accounts will be banned.

Moderator actions

The Community Team reserves the right to change or remove content or to restrict access to individual users, should it be regarded as necessary. It is not allowed to discuss any Moderation actions in public, should you agree with an action taken then please contact a Moderator or the Community Manager via private message.

Be careful

All users on this community are here to help, however nobody can be held responsible for any negative consequences resulting out of information derived from this community.

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment for our community include:

  • Demonstrating empathy and kindness toward other people
  • Being respectful of differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences
  • Giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback
  • Accepting responsibility and apologizing to those affected by our mistakes, and/or learning from the experience
  • Focusing on what is best not just for us as individuals, but for the overall community

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

  • The use of sexualized language or imagery, and sexual attention or advances of any kind
  • Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing others' private information, such as a physical or email address, without their explicit permission
  • Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Enforcement Responsibilities

Community staff are responsible for clarifying and enforcing our standards of acceptable behavior and will take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any behavior that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.

Community leaders have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that are not aligned to this Code of Conduct, and will communicate reasons for moderation decisions when appropriate.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies within all community spaces and also applies when an individual is officially representing the community in public spaces. Examples of representing our community include using an official email address, posting via an official social media account, or acting as an appointed representative at an online or offline event.

Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported to the community leaders responsible for enforcement by signing into the community site and clicking the drop-down menu on the piece of content in question, and then clicking “Flag”. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly. All community leaders are obligated to respect the privacy and security of the reporter of any incident. Copyright Infringement

If you believe that work belonging to you has been copied onto the Docusign Community Site without your permission, please notify by sending a written notification of claimed infringement to:

In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, your notification must include:

A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed. * Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.

Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material.

Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address at which the complaining party may be contacted.

A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

User Profile Information

We may refuse to grant you, and you may not use, a screen name or email address that is already being used by someone else, that impersonates another person, that belongs to another person (without that person's prior consent), that violates the intellectual property or other rights of any person, that is vulgar or otherwise offensive, or that we reject for any other reason, at our sole discretion. In consideration of your use of the Docusign Community Site you agree that all information provided in your profile is accurate, true, current, and complete. Docusign may terminate your account if any of the information provided is found to be inaccurate, false, out of date, or incomplete.

Member Generated Content

The content found in the Docusign Community Site comes from a variety of sources, primarily from community members. Docusign makes no claims or representations as to the accuracy, completeness, or truth of any material submitted or found in the discussion areas. Docusign is not liable for any website links posted within the discussion areas; website links posted in the discussion areas may link to sites not administered or under the control of Docusign and users must open such links at their own risk. Docusign is not liable for any errors or delays in the content or transmission of postings on the site. Remember that you are responsible for your own decisions to act upon the information provided by community members. Docusign makes no guaranty of the confidentiality or privacy of any communication or information transmitted on the site, or any web-site linked to the site, or otherwise in connection with the services and Docusign will not be liable for the privacy of e-mail addresses, registration and identification information, confidential or trade-secret information.

Unauthorized Use

Docusign reserves the right to modify these guidelines at any time, effective upon posting of the modified guidelines on the forum.
