I am building a DocuSign envelope template inside Salesforce using DocuSign App Launcher(DAL). I have the following two questions, please: I am adding many merge fields associated with Lead object, and one of these fields is Social Insurance Number. Based on best security practices, this field is enabled with the 'Hide text with asterisks' feature. The writeback is enabled for this field. But when the envelope is signed, the associated field on the Salesforce lead record is not updated. Is this a limit with DocuSign, or is there something wrong? For a specific merge field, I don’t want the field value to be pre-populated from the associated Salesforce field when the envelope is opened, but I want it to be written back to the Salesforce record. Is this possible?

Hi, we have added a document and when we go to add merge fields we get a, ‘Attempt to de-reference a null object’.  The message disappears and then we can add merge fields. We then go to add the merge fields fields into the document and receive a ‘Save Error: Some Fields may be out of Sync Error’. We have disconnected as suggested in related articles but that did not solve the issue. Any other suggestions?Thanks

We have our Docusign account linked to our CRM, which allows us to send envelopes through our CRM portal. I usually receive the email notification that a Docusign envelope is available to sign. When I click to review the document, I get an error message that says:“Envelope or Account Activation Not FoundThe envelope is not accessible at this time. The envelope may have been recalled by the sender or require additional processing. “I will also get a notification through my Docusign mobile app. When I go to sign the document, I am able to view the doc but the fields are not available and I am unable to sign. Is there a setting that needs to be toggled in order for this to come through? 

DS eSignature legacyI need to create a DS custom field, related to Salesforce.In DS Admin, I go to the menu 'Document Custom Fields' for a Field Creation.I check ‘relate to Salesforce', choose first the object, and then look for my field.But my SF field does not appear in the list, and I do not know why ! In SF, the field has good Field accessibility (I have checked accessibility/visibility for my user profile). I can see the field in SF. Do you have any idea ?

Our org uses Docusign for eSignature and Doc Gen natively in Salesforce via the Docusign Apps Launcher v6.12. I'm attempting to modify an existing Gen Template. Specifically, I want to swap out the current Word .doc being used with a newer version. I can add the new Word doc via the "Upload Documents" stage of the process, but removing the old doc is throwing an error: "File failed to delete. Try again."When I attempt to delete a second time, the page is stuck loading, and I see the following error code:This page has an error. You might just need to refresh it. Action failed: dfsle:GenImportTemplateFiles$controller$removeFile [Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'id')] Failing descriptor: {dfsle:GenImportTemplateFiles$controller$removeFile}I've attempted this with the same result on multiple Gen Templates. I'm unclear what the problem is, but this issue will impact us negatively very soon if we cannot get a resolution. Any help would be appreciated.

Everything looked to be going OK, except whenever i put a merge field on my document I got an ‘unable to connect to service’ message. I found a post that said disconnect and reconnect the docusign account which I did but it made no difference. I then tried uninstalling and reinstalling the package from the AppExchange. It claims to be installed successfully but I now just get a grey screen on the DocuSign setup tab and a ‘refused to connect’ message.Any thoughts on how I can fix this please.

Hello I am using Docusign eSignature and DocGen. We have the Docusign enterprise pro for salesforce plan. Is it possible to group two checkboxes created in the Document Custom Fields section? I have created these and inserted them into the template but they act independently of each other. I need the person filling out the form to check either one option or the other, but not be able to select both. Also, I am having an issue when inserting a custom field for Title that the end user should fill in as it does not line up with where the tag is placed on the template. It seems that anytime I insert a field that the end-user has the ability to write-in, they are not aligned properly and require manual intervention. 

Hey!I have users trying to send out of Salesforce but keep getting this error - however, as an admin, I can send without the error populating. We’re using docusign esignature for CPQ v2.2 if that matters - Anyone ever seen this?

Hi I am unabe to create merge field in Docusign Salesfroce. Getting Error : This Account lacks sufficient permissions to use Merge Fields.FYI : I have a eSignatureBusiness pro plan.Also unable to get the correct link to log a case for this issue.    

04.02.2025Good evening.I am hoping that has run into this same issue & can provide some hints or actions on how we can resolve this issue. We are configuring a Docusign Demo\UAT CLM Account to be integrated with a Salesforce Sandbox Organization.The issue we are having is that after we have successfully gone through the 2 steps of logging into Salesforce using our Salesforce integration user & also logging into Docusign using our Docusign integration user. When we go to map a Salesforce object via the DAL. The process just spins & it never completes. I’m not able to preview the document. Getting “Could not generate document "2_FR_Conditions generales_WORD": [103] Please ensure user has access to all the fields in template. Reference ID: 0dc6a27f-b376-4f6e-ba76-8f3c10def389” but in this template I’m only using one field and I have the access as well but still getting this error.

We have use RLM (Revenue Cloud) and for revenue cloud quote object need to enable docusign, so can i enable docusign for quote object without requiring docusign app launcher app. if yes can you pls guide me and provide steps.

Hello Community,I like to add additional documents (supplemantal documents) to an envelope.The situation is as follows:The document is generated in Salesforce I use an Envelope Template, created in Salesforce and available at the Docusign website, to assigne the Roles to the contacts Docusign opens In Docusign I created two additional templates one with supplement document A and one for B Docusign matches the Template for A Expected behaviour: to the uploaded document from Salesforce supplement document A is added and send also to the customer Actual: the template is matched, but the supplement document is not addedWhen I add the documents to the envelope template from Salesforce, file A and B appears. Hope someone can help me. Thanks and have a nice day,Sven

We are using Salesforce Minimum Access and System Administrator profiles for users, where they have basic access to objects and fields. Access to custom fields is granted via the Permission Sets. When I try to generate template I have following error: Could not generate document “Template Name” [103] Please ensure user has access to all the fields in template. 'Activation_Fee__c' Reference ID: f0ee0172-0614-47be-969c-d30eaf2c704d.I have granted access to this field by assigned Permission Set. When I set this field read and edit on Profile, then the problem is gone. It looks that DocuSign checks access only on Profile level, not the Permission Set. Can anyone help with that?

We are looking to transition from DocuSign eSignature for Salesforce (7.12.1) to Docusign Apps Launcher 6.12 and I’m trying to get it setup in a lower environment for testing. One of the features we used in the eSignature app was syncing the envelope status and date sent over to the related fields in Contracts. When trying to setup DAL, I don’t see this being able to be configured, where it will update the field of the Date Sent. Am I missing something somewhere? 

Hello, When using the DocuSign Apps Launcher in Salesforce, I’m unable to see anything related to CLM despite having downloaded the CLM app through the app exchange. I can see various CLM components and permission sets through the managed package, but I can’t see a CLM app, or a config page through DocuSign setup. I can only see eSignature and DocuSign Gen. Any suggestions on how I can remedy this issue? Thank you! 

I have a table in my Gen Word Doc, It has a price in the table ( lets say $100),  i have a field in Salesforce that holds the commission, (lets say its $25), how can i add the $25 ( from merge field) to the $100 that is already in the Table in my Gen Doc? The $100 is not a merge field coming from SF.

I am attempting to create a conditional field rule in my gen template. I need to set this up and save the configuration to prevent my users from having to do it manually each time. If i send the document, then generate another quote, the conditional field rules are missing. I do not seem to be able to store them permanently.
