Data Verification

My lender sent a DocuSign message that required I answer a series of Knowledge Based Authentication (KBA) questions. However, NONE of these questions had anything to do with me, my history, vehicles, property owned or resided at, or people who I’ve known. When I answered that I never lived in any of the location, owned any of the vehicles, do not know any of the people listed, etc, the authentication failed and I am unable to sign the documents. I suspect this may be due to the fact I requested LexisNexis to delete my data earlier this year. But why am Ibgetting random questions completely unrelated to me?

In summary, Data Verification will allow you to confirm whether or not data entered into the verification field exists and is in the correct format, but does not confirm that the verified data is associated with the field owner. There are many enhancements to Docusign’s core eSignature program now that Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) has gone live. One of these features, available to all IAM applications, is Data Verification. This feature allows you to request specific biographic information from a recipient, and Docusign will compare this information against a third-party database to verify that the data entered is accurate. It does this in real time, allowing for corrections to be made before the envelope is completed. For specific details you can click on the link at the end of the article. So let’s look at how this field can be helpful, and why using it will help get you closer to Friday with less heartburn. An anecdote: a couple of years ago I signed up for an airline’s re

Ciao Docusign Community, due to a legal dispute, I need to certify the content of an envelope I’ve received months ago whose link is expired and which has been sent to my previous work email (which I do not have access anymore): I only have the Docusign envelope ID. Can you share how to have this information?  Thanks. Davide

What does a buyer do if a business uses Docusign without their permission? Who does one complain to?

We have received several emails over the last 2 weeks that are legit docusign emails but when you open the document there is a phishing link in the document.  How do we protect against this?

As part of a family succession, I had to sign electronically a document via DocuSign.I'm French, been living in the U.S. for 14 years now. My French ID and passport expired. I have valid U.S. passport and ID, but first the app does not let me use my ID (USA is not a country listed for this category), and my U.S. passport failed to verify my identity. What can I do?

Hello,I'm trying to complete the identity verification step to sign a document, but I’m facing an issue with the documents I provided:  My national ID card was issued in December 2024, but it's still the old version, as the new electronic version only started being issued in my city last month. The system seems to reject my ID because it doesn’t match the new version expected by DocuSign. My passport is also new (issued in December 2024) but it’s being rejected as well, because the system only accepts the old 2019 version. My driver’s license is not accepted for identity verification either. Because of this, I’m unable to verify my identity and sign the document. Is there any alternative way to complete the verification?Thank you in advance!

Dear Docusign team/Community, I have received a contract to sign on docusign. I am able to do login. Successfully signed the document. But in next steps when it comes for ID validation where DocuSign agent comes online on webcam and check for your ID, I am showing my Belgium Resident card and it was told by agent that, This is a newer version of Belgium ID card which is not updated in docusign system and asked to connect in docusign support. Please help me on resolving this.

I just failed a verification and one of the questions was “who have you been associated with?” and a bunch of names to choose from.Am I supposed to remember everyone’s name in my life?Where can I see and correct the data used for this?I had a mail fraud case years ago, so I have no idea how extensive that problem might be.This is irritating, and then just reading a few posts here, it’s actually infuriating. I get why people hate technology - it’s run by corporations that have no clue what they’re doing, and we’re all just handing our data to them without consent. It’s so frustrating.

When i am required to answer docusign questions, my identity is linked to individuals i have been estranged from. I cannot answer questions regarding the people, and every year I have some random doc sent to me that continually asks me questions about theses individuals that i have not spoken to in 30 years, so when i click on the option i am not associated to these individuals it rejects my signature application. What am I to do?

Hello.  I need access to my other DocuSign account. I no longer have access to the email address the account was registered under. Because of this, I cannot retrieve and enter the access code. I still have the same phone number.

The Creator of my contract who is to sign, did not have a button for him to sign, and he has no signature on the document. Is the contract valid?

HiI Can not make this working ?I have written different names, but nothing is working and I can not access next page.

Hi,When a new employee is signing trough Docusign, it´s very easy and didn´t need to legitimize with Bank ID. Should it be that way, or can do add Bank ID in the process? Thank you for the help. Best regardsJohanna

My ID card has been checked but I received an email saying that verification has failed

Hi There, I would like to add Id veryfication for the person who will be signing contract with me. But dont see any uption to add this requiements. In the settings I add option that veryfication is required, but when customising the contract options there is only posibility to send the code as a veryfication methode.

Signers who need to redo agreements to correct previously inaccurate data have a subpar experience. How will Docusign Data Verificaiton help with this issue?

Business objectives (such as high conversion rates) are put at risk when the end-customer onboarding process stalls. This process stalls due to manual verification (time consuming) or if missing or incorrect data is entered, resulting in NIGO and requiring correction.
