The error message says “OAUTH_APPROVAL_ERROR_GENERIC : An unexpected error has occured during authentication. Please try again.”

We’re seeing this issue as well. Started yesterday and not sure how to resolve. Following

Same issue. Following

We are also having this issue. Following.

Docusign updated their security settings yesterday. We fixed our issues by doing the following (you have to be an admin for Docusign in Salesforce):

  1. In Salesforce, click the cog and navigate to Settings.
  2. In search, type “OAuth” and select “Connected Apps OAuth Usage
  3. Find Docusign and select the “Manage App Policies” hyperlink
  4. Select “Edit Policies”
  5. Under OAuth Policies > Permitted Users and set it to “Admin approved users are pre-authorized”
  6. Click Save
  7. Scroll down and select “Manage Profiles” in the profiles section and allow the profiles for your senders
  8. Click “Save”
  9. Have one of your users (non-Salesforce Docusign admins) test if they can send docs again

I hope this helps everyone experiencing the issues!

Same issue in our environment as well. Any updates on this? We have raised a case and waiting for an update.

I dont see the option for “Manage App Policies” under Docusign in the Connected Apps OAuth Usage section.

It is in the middle of the row. If you can’t see it, you may need to check with the Admin that installed the package or delete it and reinstall if they no longer work there.

This fix worked for me!! Thank you so much @Ian-Pro. @vmuthu I had to click ‘Install’ to get the ‘Manage App Policies’ option for whatever reason. After clicking install, I was able to follow Ian-Pro’s steps.

Thank you for the responses.

  1. Do you have admin privileges to install or edit packages?
  2. Can you see Docusign in your packages at all?

Yes I am an Admin.

Nevermind, I had to zoom out to see install and I was able to install and get this working. Thank you
