Hi, I’m trying to get those fields to place using anchor tags but they come up tiny and not really aligned, am I doing something wrong?

Hi @lulvt,

Welcome to the Docusign Community—great to have you here, and we're happy to share our knowledge with you!

After reviewing the screenshot you provided, it looks like the fields being placed are custom document fields—specifically, custom text fields and not the "Signature" fields. To help, here is a guide that explains how to create and use custom fields effectively 👉 DAL: Docusign App Launcher admin guide - Automatic anchor text and tags

If your goal is to simply leverage some of the more out-of-the-box fields like Signature, Full Name, Date Signed, Title, and Company, you'll want to select the desired field from the list during the "Add Fields" step of your Docusign Gen template.

I hope you find this helpful. If yes, we would greatly appreciate it if you could give it a like👍and mark it as "Best Answer" ✅, to help other community members find trusted answers and follow similar steps.😊

Hi, nothing in the link you provided mentions anything about the width of the fields. Plus, they have to be custom fields as they are not directly about the recipient, but the recipient needs to fill them in.

Hi @lulvt, thank you for getting back to me, and I am sorry for being unable to address your primary concern about fields not lining up with the rest of the text, and how to fix the size issue.

Our team may need to review your Word document. While there are some workarounds, it depends on the base document's formatting. You can set a fixed width and height—typically, the default height is 16 or 17, and the desired width is specified in the merge field configuration, either in the Place Field section of a template or on the Prepare and Send screen of an envelope.

For a thorough investigation and prompt resolution, please open a support case and attach your Word file so our Specialized team can assist you directly 👉 How do I contact Docusign Customer Support?
