You can use a document template to quickly generate a document one off or use it in tandem with an envelope template to streamline the creation and sending for an entire use case.You can create a document in a few different ways:Agreement Template Builder (ATB): Use the web-based editor for DOCX files (from scratch or by uploading an existing file). The date signed field is a popular choice for your documents! You can add it to your envelope documents to display the date each recipient signs the document. But did you know you can customize the format of your date signed field? To customize the format of the date signed field, navigate to your eSignature Admin tab > Signing Settings > Look under the Document Formatting section.Here you can customize the format of the date signed field. You can choose from a variety of formats. For example: MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, January 1st 2026, etc.You can also select if you’d like to display the time of signature. There are times when you, as the sender, might not know the final signer of a document or you might want someone else to manage and modify recipient information as needed. This is where the Manager Recipients - Allow To Edit feature comes in handy!This feature allows you to grant a recipient full correction rights for an envelope. This designated manager, who must have a Docusign account, can enter "correct mode" to make changes to the entire envelope.The manager has the power to edit the envelope, including adding recipients and making other necessary changes to fields and information before the document is sent on to the next person. Creating a reminder individually from scratch is helpful for a one off reminder that you won’t need to re apply to other documents. Using a reminder template is useful for document reminders that you’ll use over and over again!To create a reminder template, navigate in Docusign CLM to the Admin tab > Reminder Templates.
