Access to signed documents

Hi, Is there a way to keep the client from accessing the contract both trough the link and PDF after they signed it? I have been using getaccept and they have that option. Thanks in advance

Stopping monthly billing after downgrading to a Free Account

I have attempted to downgrade to a Free Account since Jan-2025, yet continue to be billed $15/month! I do receive a confirmation screen on the website after downgrading, and then I receive an email saying that my “order was not completed.” I am not able to find anyplace on the website to downgrade my account. Does anyone know now to stop the monthly billing after receiving a positive confirmation from the website that I have successfully downgraded to a free account? Thank You!

Upgrade not reflecting

I upgraded my DocuSign account, but the upgrade isn't showing up, and I need to send this agreement out right now. I've logged out and back in, and I've cleared my cache, but it's still not reflecting. Can you help me figure out what's going on?

I have had several issues with people filling out forms incorrectly. Is there a way I can change the default text in text boxes from “Text” to another word or phrase?

How to get back to a live support chat?

I had an active technical matter going. A change was made by support. The support person wanted me to confirm that the process was successful. However, the chat box was lost and replaced with the bot asking irrelevant questions. How can I reengage back with the live chat or send a message to them?

Can I set Document Visibility at the template level?

I have my Document Visibility settings enabled, but I want to be able to choose which documents would be visible within the template itself - I don’t want my sales team to have to select it every time they create an envelope. Is that possible? When I look at the settings in my template, the checkboxes for each document visibility are greyed out.

Document will not open

I have sent about 30 employee handbooks to be read and electronically signed by each employee. A few have come back that I have been able to open, download and save to our organizational files. No problem. However, I received one, and when I clicked to open, it sent me to a Docusign screen that said → Access Denied. User lacks sufficient permissions. For assistance, please visit our Support Center. How do I access the document? Why was I able to access the others and not this one?

How to avoid auto poulating fields when using multiple copies of a template in an enveloppe ?

Hello community, I use templates in order to build quality construction files. Inside I include several documents which are also templates. One of these templates is a quality plan. I have to add as many quality plans as the number of different parts that are machined. That means that I need that each template to be independant from the others. I don’t want that the fields are autopopulated even if they have the same data label (which I cannot avoid as it’s the same template that is included several times in the enveloppe) Is there a way to do so ?

Bulk Send Versions

I successfully did two Bulk Sends within the past two months. Now, when I try, I get some error message about how the legacy version is retired and something about using v2. It includes a link to a Transition to Bulk Send v2 page regarding bulk sending that is unnecessarily long. It begins with; “Docusign is encouraging all customers using the original bulk send feature (v1) to begin their transition to the enhanced bulk send for multiple recipients (v2). Bulk send v2 offers many great improvements and the end of life was February 28, 2022. This article provides more information about the transition to help guide you through the process.” As I read this, v2 ended Feb 28, 2022!? Also, what is the point of all of this. When I press Bulk Send, just simply go into the Bulk Send. Why do I have to stop what I’m doing to read through all of this seemingly nonsense, set up Demo accounts, etc.? Why wouldn’t it just walk me through it?

Does anyone know how to contact DocuSign support?

I’ve tried contacting support via chat on the website, but I am unable to contact anyone. The bot on the site is unhelpful & the prompts are not guessing what my question is anywhere close to correctly. They offer numbered options & when I select a number, the chatbot automatically closes the chat so I have to start back from square one. I had to keep going around a loop of answering the questions & getting links to unhelpful resources that did not get me to anything to help me self serve.

Unable to correct Delivery Issue?

I sent an envelope to 3 users to sign, but accidentally typed one email incorrectly and it bounced back as a “Delivery Failure.” The first user signed, but I need to correct the second users email address. When I am on my homepage, I can see the envelope under Agreement Activity section, but when I click “Correct” to the right of the envelope, it brings me to the inbox page and I receive the message “Unable to Access the Envelope.” From the “Sent” folder, I can see the envelope, but there is no option to correct. Any ideas on how to correct this?

Cannot save work as envelope is being created and software crashes

This is the second time in 3 days that my work has been destroyed part way through constructing the document envelope. There has to be some improvement to allow work to be progressively saved. The first failure occurred because I walked away from my computer for a couple of hours and the software logged me out… okay, I won’t do that again. But this time, I was midstream in preparing fields for signing, initializing and text boxes when the program crashed. What a colossal waste of precious time. I am posting this because when I searched on line for a way to save my work, I came to this forum that states the work cannot be saved. Terrible.

21 CFR Compliance when receiving signature requsts

Can I please get some confirmation on the 21 CFR Part 11 module requirements for users RECEIVING a signature request, when the receiving user does not have the 21 CFR Part 11 module. Say I am a 21 CFR Part 11 module user, and I send a signature request to a user with a FREE DocuSign account (assume their org uses a different signature platform, so no DocuSign licenses). Is the signing users signature 21 CFR Part 11 compliant, and they are forced to provide a second method of authentication as part of this compliance? I would hope/expect that it does work this way, just looking for total confirmation as i’m struggling to find a concrete answer for certain...

Replacing or adding a document within a several page document without losing fields that were already assigned.

If a template has several documents (pages) within it and only one documents (page) needs to be edited (i.e. replaced) or another needs to be added in the middle of the template, how can I make that change without losing all of the other pages fields that were already assigned? Example: I have a 50 page document that I have assigned all fields within all pages. I have to update one page within this document, how can I do that? It is letting me remove a page, but not add one. Further, I do not want to have to start all over and reassign all fields if I add a page within the entire document. Is this possible with DocuSign?

Why do I need to sue DocuSign in order to get an envelope history that I am a part of and my signature was used fraudulently? Why is CS and legal so evasive? Doesn’t anyone know that not honoring the TOU agreement and production of documents will be a complaint filed with the FTC, SEC and consumer protection regulators? I have been trying to reject all contracts made using DocuSign because of their lack of compliance with TOU(If you are part of the document and a signature is contested, I am entitled to the envelope history) I will be including DocuSign as the facilitator in a fraudulent transaction and requesting a subpoena that DocuSign must comply anyway and now will be asked to pay legal fees and potential sanctions and any judgement sent to the proper regulatory agencies.

charged my credit card but still a free member

actually I have already submitted a membership cancellation on February 11 2025 (I have received an email from DocuSign regarding the cancellation), but after the expiration date Feb. 28, 2025, DocuSign still charged $120 from my credit card. Ironically, my account is still a free account, I do not even have the authorization to create a case regarding this issue. There is also no customer support call to address this issue. How do i limit a users ability to sign?

I added some users because in a web search I got information suggesting that the DS Senders permission allowed people to send but did not allow them to sign. It appears this information is not correct. How can I remove the ability to sign on users. We have a scenario where only 1 person is supposed to be able to sign. But a handful of people need to be able to send envelope out for signature.

Creating a template

A few years ago I was able to upload PDF documents and create a template that I could send to people and have them complete the form. Apparently changes have been made and pdf is no longer a supported document format. What is the best way to create a template that I can send to people such as an onboarding form that gets used frequently.
