I have an enevlope PDF,   where there will be a single signer..    but the PDF will contain two (2) signature blocks

is there functionality exists that once the signer signs 1 of the 2 signature blocks,   to disable the other block from being signed.    we need to prevent 2 signatures from the envelope

the signer decides which one of the 2 needs to be signed

Hello @knaymie,

I hope you’re doing well. Thanks for reaching out to the Docusign Community!

Since signature fields themselves cannot directly be set as conditional fields, as a workaround, you can use the radio button group as a trigger.

Create a radio button group with two options representing the two possible signature locations. Based on the signer’s selection of one of these radio buttons, you use conditional logic to show the corresponding signature field and hide the other.

Conditional Fields

You may follow these steps:

  • Add a radio button group to the document with two buttons
  • Set the radio group to be required so the signer must make a choice.
  • Add two signature fields on the document—one in the first signature block, another in the second.

Use conditional logic on the signature fields:

  • Configure the first signature field to appear only if the radio button 1 is selected.
  • Configure the second signature field to appear only if the radio button 2 is selected.

👉 When the signer selects a radio button, only the corresponding signature field will appear for signing, and the other will remain hidden and un-signable.

This will prevent the signer from signing both fields and allows them to choose which signature field to sign. This setup ensures the signer can only sign one of the two signature fields in the envelope, enforcing the desired single-signature behavior.

I hope this helps. If you found this response helpful, feel free to give it a like or mark it as the “Best Answer”. Let us know if you have any further questions

@Drewcifer   this will be a PowerForm URL.  Looking for something in the Signature blocks,  like Conditional rule,  if/then that once sign to disable 2nd block
