Hello!

We have a signing group that needs to be able to print and sign documents, but it appears that print and sign is disabled for signing groups. I have been unable to find a good explanation as to why, or how we can re-enable it. Is there a way to adjust this setting, and if not, what workarounds have others used? The best we’ve found so far is for signing group members to “assign to someone else” and assign it to themselves because then they can print and sign, but that creates excess clicks, emails, and a Docusign error screen to boot.

The Print & Sign option isn’t available for Signing Groups in docusign. This is expected behavior, as Signing Groups are designed for electronic signing only. There’s currently no setting to turn this feature on for group signers.

What you can do instead:

  • A group member can use “Assign to Someone Else” to assign the envelope to themselves, then use Print & Sign as an individual signer.
  • If print signing is often needed, consider sending the envelope to individual recipients instead of a Signing Group.

We understand this adds a few extra steps, and we appreciate your feedback. You can also share this suggestion in our DocuSign Idea Exchange for our product team to review for future updates.
