Hi, I’ve looked everywhere for this. On the left hand side of the Tools menu in Docusign, there is a Text feature. This would be for custom text that you want to add onto a document, such as a comment.In my case, I have to use this feature quite a bit. Sometimes I have to add a client’s address, or a note, etc. And the text I need to add is much longer than the 40 or so characters allowed in that little box.Is there any way at all to increase the number of characters allowed? Right now I am having to use like 4 text boxes for 8 words! The words can wrap if you use the little arrow to expand the box, but they only do so vertically, so it looks pretty bad!

I need to contact the support because the signing process of one of my files does not work. When I try to access the support chat here, nothing happens when pressing the button. There is also no html behind the button I could copy to another browser. It’s not working in Chrome (incognito & normal mode), Firefox, Safari  I also can not access any other type of support since I’m not a paying member. I also can’t log in to the support page, because first I’d need to open a chat - which is not working. 

I drug all fields over to document and hit “SEND” button. In the lower left hand corner, I go a pop up that said “An error Occurred”. No details or direction of what to fix. Spent almost 2 hours on chat with DocuSign and it got me nowhere.  Any idea why I would get a generic error like this and have no direction on what needs to be fixed? Thanks.

Sending out close to 600 individually addressed contracts, each one has to have a payment request attached to it.However, someone in their very finite wisdom thought to change the post sending screen to say track your document (like really, it was JUST sent) instead of what it used to say, which was send another agreement.It takes a minimum of two clicks (x 600 each) to get back to the send an envelope screen. Really, could not have been an end user that came up with that idea has no idea about repetitive stress injuries to your mousing hand doing a job of this size.Please bring back the send another agreement post sending screen!

I’m trying to set up an envelope with multiple signature/initial fields in a single document for one person. However, during signing, the system requires the signer to authenticate and log in again for each signature or initial, which is very frustrating. Is there a way to authenticate the signer once at the start of the document and allow them to complete all signature/initial fields before finishing, instead of repeatedly asking them to log in and authenticate each time?Who has the authority to change this setting (if such an option is available), and would it still remain compliant with Part 11 requirements?Regards, Anil 

I can’t find any way to get in touch with support. I need to send a document for signature and reached my limit. The organisation i work for has a partnership with docusign and I’m supposed to be on paid plan but apparently im not. Docusign support - please contact me on +** ********D****.******@***.**.**Thank you

Dear DocuSign community,we have noticed the following point, which could lead to forgery of the signature: If a signatory does not open the document, but only forwards the mail itself to a person who is not stored as a signatory in the entire workflow, this recipient can open the document and sign on behalf of the person originally stored. How can this be prevented? In our opinion, this is not possible by adding a code, as this code is contained in the mail that is forwarded.Creating the highest security level when sending would be too much effort for what is in this case a simple signature process.Thank you very much in adcanve for your reply!Katrin

This has happened to two different people now where they send out a document to be signed and when the first person in the signing order signs they get the email stating that it is their turn and they sign. But when we go to download the signed documents from Docusign, only the second signers signature is there. I have attached a screenshot showing both parties signed. What has happened here?  

Our Copy Envelope option is suddenly missing from any Agreements in Shared Access. It is still selected in Admin. It seems I can copy a Completed or Voided envelope that I sent, but nothing else. Is that the way this is set up now?

During signing a document, the I do not receive the SMS from the system, even-though I am sure mobile number is correct, I receive regular SMS messages from other systems on the same number, can the authentication be through e-mail instead of SMS? how to overcome this issue since I have a deadline need to sign before it

I would like to know how to, or request a feature, that makes it possible at admin level to customise the default subject line prefix that appears in sending emails.Currently this always defaults to “Complete with Docusign:” and this wording has on many occasions caused documents to be overlooked by recipients - the feedback I get is they see the word “Complete” and think it is a completed document, not a request for a signature, especially for our internal signatories who receive lots of documents for signing. This problem is compounded by the default subject line for finished documents starting with “Completed” - this just seems like a major UX oversight.It is frustrating to have to go in and change this on every envelope. I did see a ‘solution’ that involved setting up templates, but I send lots of different docs, I don’t want a template for each one, and navigating to templates just to send a quick doc seems unnecessarily onerous when you have mad

I have used the classic version of templates in the past, and would like to continue.This is the first time I have uploaded a  Word document into templates and Docusign has changed the document during upload by changing my top and bottom margins. Now I have dangling signature fields instead of being grouped on one page as in previous design.How do I get Docusign to stop changing my document?Also, is there a way to set my preferred font once to be used on all documents?

I’m wondering if there is something that isn’t right in my settings.  I received notifications in the past when someone signed a document but yesterday someone signed and I didn’t get a notification.  There were two people to sign, one did, one didn’t.   I thought neither signed because I didn’t get a notification.  This hasn’t happened before that I remember.  Please advise.  I didn’t see anything in the settings regarding sending notifications upon signature but may have missed it. Hi!I have a document that requires a signature from one individual in our organization and then signed by the counterparty. Originally I set up a template for this but I need to send out 60 of these templates and I don’t want to use bulk send because our internal signer would have to open 60 emails.Is there an alternative to this?I could create all 60 documents and send them to our signer and the parse them out to the counterparties but before I do that I wanted to see if there was an easier way.Thank you for any suggestions!

On a Web Forms template, I need to use conditionnal routing to send the enveloppe to a Routing Group, with 6 potential recipients. All of those recipients are shared mailboxes, for 6 different teams. It works well, but now, they want to be able, once received, to assign someone to the task.So I need those recipients to assign the last recipient as the final signatory.But both on prod and sandbox, it seems that only “needs to sign”, “needs to view”, “receives a copy.” are available for routing group… Note that for “standard” type of recipients (= not from a routing group), I can also use “specify recipients”, “update recipients”, and “edit”, so it’s not about enabling it (I’m admin). Did I miss something ? How can I have a routing group to assign the next recipient (by typing the email address at some point) ?Kind regards

We use DocuSign to route for signature directly out of our Database (there is a DocuSign link in the database to click/send to DocuSign). Recent user was unable to void or cancel envelope that first signer “declined”. Error message read, “Only envelopes in the ‘Sent’ or ‘Delivered’ state may be voided.” 

Date 2/6/26. Thousands of emails from Docusign today, from the email dse_na3.docusign.net. Microsoft Purview Defender has quarantined all of these as phishing emails. Has this happened to anyone else? We had to manually release almost 2000 emails. 

I am trying to add the “Bulk Send” capability to our account. Changing our subscription requires I contact sales. For more than a week, have repeatedly reached out to both support and sales to connect with someone in sales to upgrade our account for this capability. Support has been trying to get someone in sales to reach out to me. Nobody has contacted me. I was just wondering if there is a sales department for subscription upgrades?

How can I make the SSN field (text box set to nine digits) where the document cannot be finished if the user enters anything other than nine digits?  I am wanting nine digits exactly…….not 4…..not 7…...nine exactly.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I created 5 documents, that need to be signed each by the same person. After that I need to save them separately. Can I send those documents in one envelope to the person who needs to sign them all ? And then save the signed documents separately, or do I need to send each document in a separate envelope? 

HiAll of a sudden envelopes are not being received even though they show as sent in report. I am using the sample recipients csv file downloaded from within the envelope, no names are duplicated and email addresses are properly formatted.What else can I do to check?ThanksJuliette Monet

the Shared Access drop down is there, but when trying to share the only option available was to share with the admin only.  Did Docusign take away the ability to share eSignature with others on our account?  That’s how it was set it up previously so that anyone could go to the shared sent folder under the xxxxx_contracts@company_name.com mailbox and look at the status of an envelope.

Hi, My account is on developer mode and it says that envelopes are unlimited, but since yesterday I’ve been experiencing an error that says ENVELOPE_ALLOWACE_EXCEEDED. I am reaching out to inquire about the envelope limits on my account. Last month, I was able to send over 1000 envelopes, but I am now experiencing a much lower limit. Could you please clarify why my envelope allowance has changed and what options are available to increase my envelope capacity?Regarding API usage limit which is set to 3000, I am not able to Update the hourly limit and even after almost 12 hours, limit has not been reset.This month -   Last Month -
