I’m wondering if there is something that isn’t right in my settings.  I received notifications in the past when someone signed a document but yesterday someone signed and I didn’t get a notification.  There were two people to sign, one did, one didn’t.   I thought neither signed because I didn’t get a notification.  This hasn’t happened before that I remember.  Please advise.  I didn’t see anything in the settings regarding sending notifications upon signature but may have missed it. @toddhogg For the Sender there are a variety of notifications but no notification for when a specific Recipient completes just their action. The likelihood of the notification that you received was either when the Recipient “viewed” the envelope and then they did complete their action before you opened and reviewed the document OR that Recipients action caused the envelope to be fully completed and therefore the envelope completion notification to be triggered. (This notification occurs when ALL Recipients have completed their assigned actions).

I typically send documents for signature to 2 or 3 people.

I *really* want the feature where I can get notified as each one signs, not just waiting for the end document to be complete.

Also, it would be nice to be notified every time they open/view it, not just the first time.

But, I really need to know when each person has signed it.

Please add that feature. That is, I believe, what the first person was asking about.

It would also be great to receive a reminder that “You’re the next to sign”, namely, another notification to remind each person who is holding it up.


I’m very surprised and quite disappointed that Docusign does not tell me when a recipient has completed their action. Why not? It’s in the name of the Company! DocuSIGN!!!! Why do I get notification when they view but not when they actually sign? Obviously the technology is there because we get notified that they’re viewed. And then we get notified that the document is complete. Why not merge those two features and tell us when the Recipient has completed their task of it is a signature????
