Docusign is changing document during upload to template

I have used the classic version of templates in the past, and would like to continue.

This is the first time I have uploaded a  Word document into templates and Docusign has changed the document during upload by changing my top and bottom margins. Now I have dangling signature fields instead of being grouped on one page as in previous design.

How do I get Docusign to stop changing my document?

Also, is there a way to set my preferred font once to be used on all documents?

Hello @cbvp ,

Welcome to the Docusign Community and thank you for posting your concerns!

Can you provide an image of the changes being made on the document?

Can you try converting the document into a PDF prior to uploading?

Regarding the font style, unfortunately, there isn’t a way to set a default unless it is on a template, but the account itself does not have an option to do so.

Let us know if you need further assistance with this.

Hello @nathaly.monge,

I have had the same issue with Docusign changing the document after uploading, moving the graphics so a line covers the title of the document. It was already uploaded as a PDF file, is there any other solution or way to edit the document in the upload space so that I can ensure it is readable?

Thanks!

Hello @FM1,

Thanks for reaching out to the Docusign Community!

You may want to try flattening the PDF before uploading it to DocuSign, as this can sometimes help prevent graphics or lines from shifting around. One option is to open the file, go to File > Print, choose Adobe PDF or Foxit PDF, and then save the new copy.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
