Ever wonder who can see and manage content in Docusign CLM? Anyone with the CLM Admin permission profile can see and manage ALL content within your Docusign CLM account. Beyond that, permissions can be set on folders within CLM.Security can be set based off the individual user (ex: John Doe can access this folder, but Jane Doe cannot), permission profile (ex: CLM Users can access this folder, but CLM Viewers cannot), or user group (ex: users in the Legal group can access this folder but users in the Sales group cannot). Out of the three options, setting security based on the user group is our best practice. It is a happy medium! Setting security based on the user group is not as granular as setting the security for each individual person, but it’s not as broad as setting the security for the two permission profile options.There are different levels of security that can be granted to a folder:No Access: prohibits users from accessing folders or documents. Did you know there are two ways to leverage your Docusign eSignature templates in order to send an envelope? You can USE a template or APPLY a template. Let’s break down the two methods:Use a TemplateUsing a template is ideal in scenarios where the document in your template remains the same and you’re sending to different recipients each time.How this works is you can choose to use a template from your Home Page, Templates Page, or Agreements Page. You’ll be prompted to enter in the names and email addresses of any placeholder recipients, then choose “Send”! There is an “Advanced Edit” option as well if any one-off changes are needed. PowerForms are self-service forms that you can create directly from your eSignature templates. When a PowerForm is created, a unique URL is made available for you to distribute externally. You can place the URL on your company website, send it via an email, etc,. to drive people to your form.
