If your organization hires, contracts, or operates in India, this update is for you. Starting 22 June 2026, we've deepened our integration with eMudhra to deliver a fully native sending and signing experience all within Docusign – no broken handoffs!
Who is eMudhra?
eMudhra is India's largest licensed Certificate Authority and the standard for legally valid digital signatures in the country. They're deeply embedded in India's digital infrastructure, which is why we chose them as our partner for regionally compliant signing.
What this means for you
The eMudhra sending and signing experience now runs entirely within Docusign! Senders can easily customize envelopes or workflow templates to include the eMudhra signature type, and recipients can more easily complete agreements that satisfy Indian legal requirements without leaving the platform. The result? A unified process in one place that reduces friction for everyone involved.
Getting set up is simpler too: your organization now only needs a single contract with Docusign to access the integration.
Why we made this change
Many of you operate in India or work with teams there. This update makes it easier to execute agreements that meet local compliance requirements, while also delivering a more familiar signing experience for recipients.
