Hello @Julie Bryan,
I hope you’re doing well. Thank you for reaching out to the Docusign Community. I appreciate you bringing your question to this Community.
You can add a clickable link within a Docusign document by creating a hyperlink custom field. This allows the recipient to click the link and be directed to a webpage of your choice.
You may check this link for the detailed steps: How do I create a hyperlink in a Docusign document?
However, please note that it’s not possible to configure a link that automatically opens a new email composition window when clicked. Instead, you can link to your website or any URL you prefer, which might include a contact or support page where users can easily reach out via email.
I hope you find this helpful. If you believe this response effectively addresses your question, please click “Select as Best” to help other users with similar questions, locate it more easily. Should you require any additional assistance, feel free to reach out. Thank you!

Hi Jenny,
Thanks for the reply! I was actually looking for a way to add an email alias into the body of the document to make it “clickable/active”, I could create the Hyper link, but this doesn’t work for emails, and the functionality of having an active email address in the body of the email has been delayed. From my understanding they(Docusign) were in the process of releasing this feature, hence it worked sometimes but not consistently, but there seems to be some limitations and its been pulled back. From what I understand there isn’t a work around so we’ll just have to hold tight. :) It was great while it lasted.
thanks
Julie
