Any word on giving admins or users the ability to set their own recipient color designations? My color-blind users are having a tough time with the pastels in new update.

For something that’s internal, being able to set those color designations ourselves would be very helpful.  I found out who is color-blind at my company after that latest update switched them from gold/blue to pastels.  I’m not opposed to keeping the look fresh, but that shouldn’t trump being functional.

If not granular color control, maybe a handful of presets?  One of them being high-contrast for my color-blind peeps?

@Drewcifer This is so important! Thanks for calling it out. I don’t have the answer on this one but am hoping that one of my teammates knows of a solution. And if there isn’t one, you definitely should submit your ask to the Ideas board: https://community.docusign.com/ideas

Hi @Drewcifer — thanks for the suggestion!

We love hearing how Docusign could be even more useful. While the ability to set recipient color isn’t available at the moment, the best place to share this kind of idea is on our Ideas board: Submit a feature request

That’s where ideas from Docusign users like you can submit ideas to improve Docusign’s features and where you can also vote on ideas from other members.

We appreciate your input and hope you’ll keep the ideas coming.

@leah.breen @Ma.Cubio

This idea has been submitted (by several people - and consolidated into one “idea”). Looking over the ideas in general it doesn’t seem that any have been implemented or considered for implementation. Is there any sort of time-frame for the ideas to be looked at and judged?

@Drewcifer - I think you had brought the issue of color-blind users up before? I was thinking of you/your users today when I noticed the color scheme changed again. My defaults are now blue-purple-green (no pink, which I am fine with) and are VERY hard to distinguish. I hope you can find a solution.

My partner uses patterns of dots (in differing sizes) or stripes (in differring directions) to differentiate colors in a UI. It can resemble work by Roy Lichtenstein to those of us who see color, but works well for people with different modes of colorblindness.

@Clint DeK Thank you for sharing that insight! If you'd like, you can copy it and add it as a comment on this submitted idea for Docusign to consider.

Is there any word on an update on this?

@Drewcifer:

There was a post about 2 weeks ago (see below) that basically said ‘they are working on figuring out a process’.  I haven’t seen anything more recent (but I’ve been away, so I may have missed something).

@mr1 Nothing more recent, unfortunately. But we hear your requests and movement with Ideas is happening—just slowly!

How is it possible that it is so difficult to implement a personalized color scheme for this software? My recent hire is color-blind and cannot use Docusign and is rightfully complaining that it is absolutely discriminating.

@Gianluca:

I’m sure there is some reason they can’t just switch over to high contrast colors until they sort out a way to let users choose their own… I guess we all have to keep waiting.
