Managing Partner Portal Users: A Guide for Admins

Previously, we had to open a case with Partner Support to add users, and we were excited to see that this functionality is now available for self-management. However, when I tried to access it, I received the following message:

Could you confirm if this feature requires activation by Support, or if it’s an issue with permissions not being granted by my account admin?

We are currently facing a few issues in partner portal that I’d like to bring to your attention:

1. Unable to create users successfully: We’ve already raised a case about this issue, and we’ve been informed that it's under repair.

2. Unable to modify user details: We were advised to open a case with Support to request modifications.

3. Unclear usage of Persona and Profile to control user access to resources and menu items: For example, our Sales team only needs access to the Deal Register and University Training, while our Technical team needs access to Case Creation and University Training, but they don’t need access to Reports. We’re not sure how to set this up effectively. We are unable to modify these settings ourselves or validate them. Reports are crucial for us as partners, and we would like to ensure that access to them is restricted to Admins or authorized users only.

4. Report data export questions and improvement requests: We exported the report, and we have questions about certain data points. Additionally, we’d like to suggest some improvements to the report fields. I’ve already opened a case, but was informed that this falls outside their scope. Is there a unified process or interface for submitting suggestions or requesting improvements to the Partner Portal content?

1. Why the value of ‘Envelopes Allowed in Contract Term’ for some customers are 0. 
2. How are the three values such as ‘Consumption Within Contract Term/ Consumption Overall/ Projected Usage Score’ calculated? What exactly is the meaning.
