I wanted to fill out some of the items (name, title, address) so my boss will just sign, but when I click on text box (unsure if this is best approach), the borders are highlighted although I clicked it to "read only", Is there a way to remove the borders

If the text box is read only, then the Recipient, in this case your boss, would not see the surrounding box.  In this situation it should actually default to the first field that needs to be filled out or signed.  When I am adding text to a box prior to sending I typically click the field then go to the "Add Text" box to the right panel to add the value prior to sending.
