I have a Web Form built with an eSignature Template that has two signers. All of the fields are assigned to the first signer except for two… the name and email address of the second signer.

As a web form, however, the first signer enters all the information for all the fields, including the name and email address of the second signer. After finishing, when they see the final document to review and sign, all the data is visible except for the name and email address of the second signer, which appear blank to the first signer.

If the first signer goes on to sign the document, it is emailed to the second signer, who can now see the second signer name and email in place, so the data definitely made it from the web form to the eSignature template.

Unfortunately, this is confusing our first signers, and they are calling us wondering why it’s broken. So my question is, is there any way that the first signer can see the second-signer name and email fields when they go to sign? Anything I could do to make that work?

Hi @chris_genfi,

Thank you for reaching out, and a warm welcome to the Docusign Community! Your presence here is greatly valued, and we're all about sharing knowledge and supporting each other.

To ensure the second signer's information is visible to the first signer, can you please enable the setting "When an envelope is sent, write the initial value of the field for all recipients" under Settings > Sending Settings > Field and Properties? 👉 How do I share the information in all fields with all recipients when sending a document?
The reason for this behavior is that the fields ( Name and Email fields ) are assigned to the signer in the second routing order. Normally, without the setting enabled, the field won't be populated until the envelope reaches the second recipient, thus causing the previous recipient not to see the information.
