+1All fixed - didn’t realise the blank did not refer to the checkbox itself, but a field value in the settings. Inputting text into this field has solved the problem.

Indeed, when you create a checkbox in your webform, you need to provide names for each option. To do this, simply click on the Edit Radio Options option, represented by a pencil.
