You can apply changes to any envelope or recipient that has not been marked as completed.
Once a recipient completes their action (or the envelope), the system will not accept any further alterations.

A follow-up question regarding changing the email address after an initial envelope has been sent.
I sent a package out and had a typo in the email address, it didn’t bounce back so it was a valid email address, just not the right one. I corrected the email address and the intended recipient now has received the envelope. My question is, would the person who received the initial message be able to open and view documents after the change has been made?
Edit:
After posting this I did an experiment sending an envelope to myself and then changing the email address after sending and I have confirmed that the initial recipient will not have access after the message is corrected. Sorry for gumming up the thread.
