There are times when you, as the sender, might not know the final signer of a document or you might want someone else to manage and modify recipient information as needed. This is where the Manager Recipients - Allow To Edit feature comes in handy!

This feature allows you to grant a recipient full correction rights for an envelope. This designated manager, who must have a Docusign account, can enter "correct mode" to make changes to the entire envelope.

The manager has the power to edit the envelope, including adding recipients and making other necessary changes to fields and information before the document is sent on to the next person. They are not assigned any fields themselves.

Take a look at this Trainer Tip video where we explain how to set up the Allow to Edit

action.

Key Take-aways:

  • Allow To Edit grants a Docusign user full correction rights to an envelope.
  • The designated manager can enter correct mode to edit the entire envelope, including adding recipients and modifying fields.
  • This is useful for multi-step review processes where a specialist needs to make final changes before the document is sent.
