Request to add a sender notification which will notify senders when an envelope is due to expire

It would be very helpful if the envelope sender was notified before the envelope expired. Envelopes often expire as the sender has been unaware that they were reaching the expiration date.

maybe right now you can change the default expirartion days from 120 to 999. we write python code for bulk update the envelopes of expiratition days for our customer recently. there are more then 500 envelopes will expirate in one week.

This is a very needed addition - we regularly have one person that doesn’t sign an envelope and then the entire packet is voided without notice.  The reminder would give the sender a chance to save a copy or revise the envelope before it is voided.  Please make this change!

Good question - what is the timeframe from “idea” to implementation?

  • In beta: The idea is available for early access and testing
  • Parked: The idea is viable, but is not currently considered at this time.
  • Delivered: The idea is implemented and live.
  • Existing functionality: The idea can be solved within the set of capabilities and platform services that exist today.
  • Duplicate: The idea was a duplication and merged with existing Idea.

Docusign is still optimizing the ideas process, and we haven't seen an idea under review yet, and I hope they can start soon.

Adding another bump; this is a feature which is much needed and we would really appreciate. As part of a team sending hundreds of documents per month, we easily lose sight of docs many pages down our sent items and with no alert to us, the sender/envelope originator, of an impending expiry we regularly miss the chance to be proactive and reach out to the person causing a blockage.

We are aware we could extend the expiry time limit, but this is outside of company policy and not something we wish to do; we would just like the envelope owner to receive email notifications, for example 7, 2 and 1 days before an envelope expires. It feels surprising this functionality doesn’t exist as standard and clearly others have the same request, so it would be much appreciated if you could add it. Thanks.
