Just to chime in and say that this is very important to us also in regards to data security.
I found the option to turn off sending the certificate out with the email, but when the signer receives the completion email, they are able to “View Completed Document” and navigate to the certificate anyway.
When you have many signers from different businesses/firms signing the same envelope, the information they receive is on the certificate of completion has full names and email addresses of all signers! This to us is a big risk in data security.
Ideally having an option as to what a signer is privy too would be good, or some way to redact names and email addresses automatically from the certificate summary.pdf
@BGrant @Simon Davies Please contact Docusign Support for assistance with some account plan settings to restrict visibility of the Certificate of Completion from signers. Some features are only available for specific plan types.
- Disable recipients from viewing certificates
- Disable recipients from viewing history
- Suppress Email addresses from Certificate of Completion
Best practice is to have Senders download documents and Certificate of Completion from Agreements tab. There are file size limitations to the email attachments (5MB).
