It actually allows the Individual/ Sole Proprietor the ability to enter in their EIN / TIN instead of their personal SSN.
It allows the entry of the business entity / doing business as (DBA) name based on the appropriate tax classification. It hides the DBA when entering in the SSN as an individual.
