Contact Phone Number Should Be Included in Details

From Support:  If you choose "from Contacts" it will populate all except for Phone Number. If you choose "from Directory" it will populate all except for Phone Number and Company.

They are saying this can be submitted as an enhancement request. To do this we've created an Ideas platform on the Docusign Community site:

So I’m submitting the request, not sure why Docusign decided phone numbers and company are not important to pull into the details of a Room but we would appreciate if it did.

Thanks so much for your idea, ​@ddupre . After review, we found that this request can be accomplished using existing features within Docusign. 

You need to input the numbers in the rooms details tab which should auto-fill on the forms.

Thank you, I was referring to the contact information that auto populates in the details when you add someone from the address “book”. It seems to only put in the name and email, not the phone number.


I’m curious where this landed as well as we are experiencing the same issue.  We require phone numbers for recipient authentication when sending envelopes. Currently, the Shared Address Book only shares name and email, which means our senders still have to enter phone numbers manually. Allowing phone numbers to be shared would significantly improve efficiency and reduce errors in our workflow.
