In Docusign CLM, we currently have standard Dropdown and Dynamic Dropdown attribute types for selecting values
However, these options are limited when working with reference lists (>35) such as cost center codes and descriptions.

Proposed enhancement:
Introduce a new “Lookup” attribute type that allows users to:

  • Search and filter from a large dataset (e.g., cost centers, departments, vendors).

  • Display both code and description columns for easier selection.

  • Optionally pull data from an external or internal reference table (via API or data source link).

  • Use this lookup field in Document Generation, Workflows, and Forms.

Example use case:
When generating a document, a user could type part of a cost center code or description (e.g., “44100” or “Marketing”) and select the correct entry from a searchable dropdown list.
