In reviewing the CLM release for Document View, I’ve noticed there are additional steps when sending for external review or signatures.
It was significantly better when as a task, the submitter receives the document after approvals to send for signature to have the document in full view.
Instead now the task shows a window with activity on the right and the document(s) as link. The submitter will now need to select the link to view the document as it opens in document view. This extra step may have been acceptable, but to select continue or sending for signatures, and the page reverts back to the page with the links. And yet another step to select to continue sending for signatures .
These extra steps seem very redundant. I believe it is much easier for a user to receive the task in document view and continue with their next step. It’s a cleaner process to revert back.
This is the same process when sending for external review.
Any thoughts on this? I’m curious to know why this feature would change and is there a thought of reverting back to the document view with these tasks?
I’ve also noticed that when a task is completed it does not revert back to the task menu or dashboard. I would also note this is an extra step for approvers.
