Your business has a Docusign eSignature account, but you might need more. How do you know when another eSignature account is necessary? What should you think about before creating multiple accounts? The following tips and resources will help your multiple-account decision-making process.  ⚖️ Legal and Compliance Data Residency: If your company operates in different regions, each with its own data residency requirements, you may need separate Docusign eSignature accounts. For example, suppose you created an account in Europe, but another use case requires data residency in Canada. In that example, you must create a new account in a Canadian data center.Electronic Record Signature Disclosure (ERSD): Each Docusign account comes with a built-in ERSD, which allows you to capture recipient consent to complete an electronic transaction. ERSDs can vary or not be required at all, so different departments or business units may need individual accounts based on customized ERSDs to stay compliant.

Ready to get your agreements in Docusign CLM signed by the necessary recipients? Using Docusign CLM, you can send a document out for electronic signature. Documents can be sent for signature manually or automatically via a CLM workflow.In this video, a Docusign Product Trainer will walk through the process of sending a document from CLM out for signature. Do you want to ensure your recipients enter the correct information in open text fields and eliminate NIGO or “not in good order” documents from your eSignature workflows? Leveraging text field validation is an easy way to get started.   🚦 What is text field validation? Field validation allows you to choose what data your signer is permitted to input into a text field. Docusign provides common validations for you:  Once a field validation is set, signers are prompted to enter the correct information. For example, when the “ZIP” validation is assigned, the signer inputs no more and no less than five digits in that field. When those parameters are not met, the signer is prompted to correct the data, and the document remains incomplete until the data is corrected.   🛠️ Customization What if you need a validation that is not featured on the list? Have you ever needed to send the same document to multiple recipients at one time? Docusign’s Bulk Send feature is designed to create individual envelopes for up to 1,000 recipients in one send. Bulk sending has many applications and uses, including workflows for agreements that don’t require a signature but need to, for example, only collect data. An HR Department sends the benefits package to 700 associates. A Board of Directors needs to send an updated HOA agreement for 50 residents to sign. A credit union sends a waiver to 300 auto loan customers to opt into a new loan payment program. Though bulk-sending is easy and efficient, preparation and planning are crucial before you click “send,” and 500 recipients receive your agreement.
