I have selected 2 check boxes.  I have added one check box, clicked on the + sign and created a group. I have selected  “Select only one” under the validation tab.  When I send a test, it allows the signer to select both check boxes in the group. I have also tried selecting “at most one” under validation and the same thing happens.

Hello @TAA,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Docusign Community—great to have you here

I understand your concern about checkboxes where you can still choose multiple choices despite the Validation was set to "Select only one". I sincerely apologize for this, and rest assured that I will make my best effort to help you.

Upon checking, this behavior is by design and expected. Recipients can select multiple checkboxes. However, the system will not allow them to click on finish until the validation criteria are met, which means they need to untick some checkboxes until the validation criteria are met. The tooltip also shows the number of checkboxes they can/should select. If you want recipients to be only able to tick a single value, I recommend using the radio button instead of a checkbox, which will have the behavior you are looking for by default.

I hope this helps clarify things! If you found this response helpful, feel free to give it a like or mark it as the best answer. Let us know if you have any further questions
