How to get metadata from Rules Action into SharePoint document library
Hello All,
I set up a DocuSign template where users can send agreement us customers. Once customers sign the agreement, I want those agreements to be stored in a SharePoint document library. I set SharePoint app in the Connection.
Then I set up rule and action in the DocuSign.
In the action part under the Customize file and folder name/path, there are several options which do not help my idea.
I want to capture some document custom fields into the file name so that when it stores into the SharePoint it is easy to find by the document custom fields.
Unfortunately, I could find any available solution out there.
I would appreciate if some can help me on this.
Thanks

Hello @Cardo
Thank you for reaching out, and welcome to the Docusign Community! We appreciate your question and assure you that we are fully committed to providing you with the best service possible.
Agreement Actions only work with Envelope Custom Field and not document custom field. While Document Custom Fields are not supported for this component at the moment, the best place to share this kind of idea is on our Ideas board:Submit a feature request
That’s where ideas from Docusign users like you can submit ideas to improve Docusign’s features and where you can also vote on ideas from other members.
In the mean time, you may use Envelope Custom Field. Customize file name and folder name/path : Customize the file name and location. Type the + sign and select one of the envelope fields to use a dynamic value to name your documents, for example the name of the template used or the recipient names.
Completed documents are saved to the selected cloud storage provider, such as a shared drive in Google Drive. You can determine how documents are archived.
Customize envelope settings: Select Include Certificate of Completion to save the certificate in the same folder as the signed document. For more information about the Certificate of Completion, see History and Certificate of Completion.
Select Combine all envelope contents into a single ZIP file if you want to archive all documents in an envelope as a single .zip file.
Customize file name and folder name/path : Customize the file name and location. Type the + sign and select one of the envelope fields to use a dynamic value to name your documents, for example the name of the template used or the recipient names.
Note: You can also enter the name of the destination folder at the beginning of the file name to save the documents in a specific folder. For example, Offer Letters/FY21/ saves the documents in the FY21 subfolder in the Offer Letters folder.
Note: When archiving to Box, the file paths are case-sensitive. If you receive an error that an item with the same name already exists, then the folder might already exist with a different capitalization. Correct the capitalization or choose a different location.
Note: If you add an envelope custom field to a file and folder path in an agreement rule, and any input to the field is not found when the rule runs, this field displays as "-" in the file and folder path. To continue using this rule, complete the value for the field or delete the envelope custom field from the file and folder path.
