Question

Change individual People after sending out the envelope

I have a document that needs to be signed by many different people. Some of them have already signed, but now one person has declined and suggested another person to sign. Can I change individual persons without having to resend the document to everyone?

@Zer

If a recipient declines to sign in Docusign eSignature, the transaction is voided (canceled). The entire process must then be restarted, and all previous signers will need to sign again. This is because all previous signatures were on the document copy that was effectively canceled by the declining party.

Alternatively, the recipient may have the option to reassign the document to the correct signatory within Docusign eSignature if they are not the right person. Note that this reassignment option may not be available for certain signature types or envelope settings.

As the sender, you can correct the envelope and update a recipient as long as the envelope is still in progress (i.e., not yet completed or voided).
