With the banding option, the check "Use the sender's company name" doesn't seems to change anything

Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with the option “Use the sender’s company name.”

When I enable this checkbox, I expect the sender name shown to recipients to switch to the brand/company name. However, even after checking the option, the sender name does not change and still appears as the individual sender rather than the brand.

Am I misunderstanding the purpose of this setting? Could you clarify what this option is supposed to do, and under which conditions it affects the sender name?

According to the Docusign eSignature Admin Guide (July 24, 2024), the “Use sender’s company name” option does not change the sender’s display name.  It pulls the Company value from the sender’s Personal Information settings.  it will be displayed in the Email notifications and The Electronic Record and Signature Disclosure. 

To achieve brand-based sender identity, you would instead look at the Signing Brand configuration and configure it there.
