Hi Team,

I have got a developer account with unlimited envelopes, but I am getting error :: ENVELOPE_ALLOWANCE_EXCEEDED

The portal shows this which suggests that we have only used 100 envelopes out of Unlimited. ::

The limit did not reset in the hour interval. we waited to about 3 hours and made the call again, got same error.

Any help, or pointers to help us fix this issue is greatly appreciated.

Hello, @MuraliS

The unlimited is for envelops sent via the Web interface.

Via API there is a limit, however you can contact our Support to ask for help, here we don’t have access to any account, only Support has it.

How to contact support:

Also, this article explain the API Limit Management

If that helps you, I’d appreciate you Like here.

Best,

Alexandre

Hi @MuraliS

Thanks for reaching out to the Docusign Community.

You might get the error oENVELOPE_ALLOWANCE_EXCEEDED] on the DEMO environment due to the envelope send limit implemented in Developer accounts in part related to our fraud prevention mechanisms. On DEMO, limits are in place to protect system stability, prevent abuse, and ensure fair access across all users.

The limit in your Production account is unrelated to the one in your Developer account. For Docusign eSignature plans, once an envelope is sent, it counts toward the envelope allowance included in your plan, whether or not the envelope was signed or completed. When the error is thrown in the Prod environment, this can be due to the actual plan purchased. The number of envelopes sent for signature using PowerForms or Bulk Send will also count towards your allowance. In this case, the account administrator can view the current envelope usage under their Plan & Billing page. You can also see how many envelopes your account has used on Reports.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Docusign Customer Support channel.

Best regards,

Iandro
