Hi All,

I know you can embed in-person signing on a document,

But is it possible to embed in-person signing on a website (specifically a sharepoint site).

We have site created where users have to provide in person consent, they will be in an office, office users will add the signers name and email address(and a second signer if required) and we expect the signers to sign in person.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

The scenario you described is something that is commonly realised with Docusign PowerForms and not with in-person signing. People can enter their name and email address and sign in-person on a tablet or other device presented to them, without the need to set them up as in-person signers and hosting the ceremony.

The URL to the PowerForm can be configured in the web browser as the default or a link in SharePoint, etc.

@Craig4500,

In addition to the @Michael.Rave’s solution, another option would be to implement the embedded signing for these users to sign the envelope only when get access to this website locally in a POS, totem or on-site device.

Unless you strictly need to execute this process through API or for something not covered by PowerForm (like fully embedding the signature in the website, not requiring them to open a pop-up window or new tab outside the application), the easier and faster approach would be to start with a PowerForm link being displayed to these users on their devices.

@Renan.Araujo we’re open to suggestions, however the form hosted on the internal network cannot be opened to external signers on an external network.

Their e-signature is part of the form and the ask is to remove any manual admin from the process, hence implementing the D-ocusign in-person signing.

@Craig4500,

Powerform would allow a user to copy the form link and access or share it externally to sign.

The recommended approach in this scenario would be to implement the embedded signing only as the generated links from API have a five-minute life.

Please review the concept and documentation related to this implementation type and recommended authentication for it.

Renan

Thanks @Michael.Rave & @Renan.Araujo .

We have a new use case brought up by the business yesterday.

If two signers are required and one lives abroad(for example) therefore both wont be in-person.

Can this be set so that one signature is in person and the other not in person. i.e see below example:

  • Signature 1 - In person - As per Options above
  • Signature 2 - Not living in country, cannot be in person but required on same form

@Craig4500

Absolutely, you can select the signature type for each recipient individually and there is no technical limitations that prevents different signature types within a single envelope. It is a common use case that in-person and remote signers are signing the same agreement with Docusign eSignature.
