Hi all, we’re currently reviewing our approval workflow within DocuSign and are looking for a way to manage multi-step internal reviews rather than just simple signatures. Our process involves a supplier completing a form first, followed by several internal teams (HSEQ, Procurement, Transport, etc.) who each need to review, add comments, and either approve or decline within their own section (with a dropdown box). Once all reviews are complete, a final approver makes the decision. If the document is declined, we need it to automatically return to the supplier with comments, be amended, and then circulate again through the same approval order. We’re struggling to configure this kind of “approve/decline with re-route and comments” workflow after signing. is this possible natively in DocuSign, or does it require additional features? Any guidance or best practices would be appreciated.

@HSEQ

What you’re describing is not fully achievable with DocuSign eSignature alone, but it is achievable with DocuSign CLM.

You might be able to achieve this using DocuSign eSignature, using Text fields + dropdowns + sequential routing to support collaboration, comments, and approve/decline decisions.
