Hi, I am trialling docusign and need to send a digitally signed doc to a service provider. I have attached my signature to a form and sent it but it does not seem to have an attached certificate of completion to validate it. what am I doing wrong?
I’m not sure if this is true for a trail account, but on a paid account a certificate of completion can be downloaded by the sender once the certificate is complete.
If you are the only signer - once you sign and click on ‘finish’ you should be able to download the document - and have the option of choosing ‘document’ ‘certificate’ or ‘all’ (ie both the certificate and document combined).
If you are not the only signer (ie, whoever you sent the document to also needs to sign) then you will need to wait for them to sign before you can get the certificate. Depending on your settings, the 2nd signer may or may not receive/download a copy of the certificate.
good luck

"Select as Best" below if you find the answer a valid solution to your issue.
We are using CLM to send around contracts. We have a workflow for this so all contracts end up in proper folders, etc. What I have noticed is that from CLM you can not go to a folder to look at a contract and download the CoC.
Now the user needs to go to eSignature and hope to find the document (residing in CLM) to retrieve it. This also means that other users that are authorized to look at a contract can not download the CoC as they can’t find it in eSignature. Can’t it also be made an option in CLM?
Hello
Thank you for reaching out to the Docusign Community!
Please activate this setting:

Note: It will download to the folder where the document is when signature is complete. If you have a workflow or other automation that moves the document after signature, you may need to update the process to also move the CoC. Either way, the CoC should be searchable and will be related to the agreement to which it belongs.

To all,
the issue is the following. When I send out a contract to be signed and get is signed (as a demo) I can download the CoC from my eSignature

However, when I look for the same contract in CLM and do the download I will NOT get this same screen. This download will only download the contract itself. The CoC is not part of this.

As we have several people doing uploads (using a workflow) I want people to be able to download the CoC from CLM. Despite having set the option to download the CoC as described by Melanie it does not (!) work from CLM.
I was informed to raise an incident for this with DocuSign. Is that the best way forward?
Thanks all!
Hello
I am so sorry you are still having this issue. That appears to be the interface after signing a document. The screenshots I previously provided need to be performed by a CLM Admin. You are absolutely correct, the best action is to open a Docusign Support case to be assisted by a CLM specialized agent. Open a case in the Docusign Support Center
Let us know if you have questions. Thanks and have a great day!

To all,
yesterday I had a very good session with DocuSign support where it was made clear how things work. With the right setting any new contract created and signed off will automatically get the CoC. This is now visible in CLM (!) as a separate document. Problem solved! Thanks all for great support!
