I have the standard plan. When I try to assign the “Select Recipient” role to a signer in a template, I get the error message "Account does not have permission to send to Agent recipient type”. I can’t find a setting I need to change or a feature we aren’t paying for. Any advice?

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, I understand that when you try to assign the “Select Recipient” role to a signer in a template, you get the error message "Account does not have permission to send to Agent recipient type”.

 

The Specify recipient role is not available for standard plans, as an administrator, you can modify sending settings in eSignature Settings by selecting Sending Settings. Adjust the settings as needed and save the changes, please see Define Sending Settings, you can also see the Recipient Roles available for your plan.

 

If the option that you are trying to disable is greyed out, you will need to contact Docusign Support and request the support agent to review the account configuration at the backend.

 

In regards to the template, was this created recently or is it an old template?

 

Note: Some advanced features and options are supported only in specific Docusign plans. Your account plan might not support some options discussed in this help topic. Contact your account administrator for more information about which options are available for your account.
