Hi everyone,

I believe I can create a public link on the website for customers to sign a form based on the template i’ve created. I have some questions:

  1. Can the customer upload a PDF document with prepopulated fields into Docusign and then sign the document?
  2. Can additional supporting attachments be uploaded as part of the envelope but does not populate into the template/form e.g an image of license
  3. Can certain fields (excluding the signature field) be completed in Docusign after uploading the PDF where some information is prepopulated? and can that be any field? (the form has set fields that are prepopulated already and set fields that require input)
  4. Can we use phone verification for customers accessing the form via the URL on website
  5. If we have multiple forms, can we use the same URL or do we require multiple URLs?
  6. Set rules/questions to signing parties. The problem we have is customers will only have 1 party sign even if they require 2. So a question to ask their structure before docusign determines whether it requires information/execution from 1 or 2 signing parties

Thanks in advance!

  1. PowerForms are based on a fixed template. The customer cannot replace the document in the template with their own uploaded PDF through the public PowerForm URL.
  2. You can use Signer Attachments in your template to request optional or required file uploads from the signer
  3. If you're using a static template, you can:
  • Prepopulate some fields via merge fields or recipient data

  • Have other fields assigned to the signer to complete (text fields, checkboxes, etc.)

  • Use conditional fields or optional fields as needed

The signer can only complete fields you've already placed in the template; they can't freely add new fields or edit the actual PDF document.

  1. Yes.
  2. If you have multiple forms (e.g., Loan Application, New Client Intake, License Upload), you’ll need a separate PowerForm URL for each template.
  3. Not directly in PowerForms
