How can I get a count of the number of contracts by signer for my organization?

The Reports feature allows users and administrators to get insights into their Docusign account. Report data is generated continuously, and reports contain near real-time data from document activity.

When users run reports, they see information from their own account activity only. Account administrators see all account-level activity. Report data has the following limits:

  • Reports displayed in the application can return up to 5,000 rows of data.
  • Reports downloaded as a CSV file can return up to 50,000 rows of data.
  • Emailed reports can return up to 100,000 rows of data.

On the main Reports page, there are two dashboards: one for all users to view their own sent envelope data, and one for users with administration permissions to view all account envelope data. These dashboards provide an overview of envelope activity and environmental savings.

For reporting on specific content, you can use the following types of reports:

Standard reports. There are several standard reports that provide information about envelopes, recipients, account activity.

Document Data reports. This is a new category of data reports that focus on the field-level data in your Docusign eSignature agreements.

Report categories

Docusign offers several reports available to quickly view information about your account. Users see information from their own account activity only. Account administrators see all account-level activity. There are three categories of standard reports and a collection of Document Data Reports:

  • Envelope: Data on envelopes sent from the account. Available to all users.
  • Recipient: Data on recipient activity for envelopes sent from the account. Available to all users.
  • Usage: Data on activity and usage for the entire account. Available to account administrators only.
  • Document Data: Field-level data from documents sent from the account. Available to all users (may vary by report).

By default, all reports run with the following filters:

  • Date Range: Month to Date
  • Envelope Status: Any
  • Sent By: Any

Note: Some advanced features and options are supported only in certain Docusign plans and some require administrator permissions. Your account plan or permissions might not support some options discussed in this help topic. Reports > Envelope Report > Select Date Range > Edit Filters > Enter their email in the “Recipient email contains” field. > Run Report

I appreciate the advice. I do not have a Reports tab.


Sorry.  I’m using an upgraded account, and that must be why I have Reports and you don’t.  You’d have to reach out to DocuSign for pricing on that.

By the way, the Reports Tab is not included in free accounts, only in paid plans.

Thanks for the clarification. We process numerous third party Docusign files, so it would be useful to track how many we process and who in the organization signs each one.
