I am disappointed in the emails we get from Docusign.  There are so many scams that come through email it’s impossible to tell at first sight.  It’s a cumbersome process to get the email and interrupt my work to sign in to the website and verify the email is legitimate.  The emails don’t say who it’s from.  If I am waiting for a document, I know what to look for.  The anonymity of the email slows everything down.  The extra layers of security we have to use now are ridiculous.  Hackers are going to get in anyway and for the average business, it’s time consuming.  I don’t want to pay my staff to sit around getting second and third codes and passwords to open something.  Productivity is down and everyone is just frustrated.  We have trouble finding workers in our area and having to spend more time bringing them up to speed on each separate software is not in our best interest.  I’m sorry, but I believe we are going to cancel Docusign and if others want our signature they’ll have to get it in person.

I guess I wasn’t clear.  When we get a notice from Docusign is does not say who is asking us to sign something.  We won’t respond to anonymous requests.  Why doesn’t Docusign say who the email is from?

Hello @BevLocks
The sender's information is typically included in the email notification when someone sends you a document for signature. If the sender's information is not visible, it could be due to a few reasons, including the sender forwarding their email, the sender not being a recipient, or issues with your notification settings.
Please take a look at the image as a sample envelope.

We have signed a lot of online documents over the years but lately I’ve been getting emails that purport to be from Docusign, but I’m not comfortable opening a link if I’m not expecting a document and it doesn’t say who it’s from.   I guess if someone wants us to sign something badly enough, they will call to find out why we haven’t signed it and sent it back.  It’s not rocket science.  I would think if it’s important, Docusign would require the sender to identify themselves in the request.

Hi @BevLocks
I understand and agree with you. I also don’t click links, especially if they look suspicious. As I mentioned above, it would normally show the sender's information. Still, if you receive an email from a sender you do not recognize or you are not expecting documents sent via Docusign, you may check this link for the latest information on how to report this: https://www.docusign.com/trust/security/incident-reporting. It's essential to send this information through our channels, ensuring that the security team is notified correctly and takes action (if necessary). Also, we have a video and a community post with more information about email security.
