New access shared feature flaw

Dear DocuSign Team, 

We recently started using the DocuSign new shared access feature in our organization, migrating all the actual access from the old to the new feature. After that, I discovered that the new feature is designed to not allow users to access a shared envelope via a direct link, which caused a huge manual work for some of our departments.

 

Do you have any plans to enable the link access for the new feature, or should we rollback and use again the old feature?

We recognize that the current design of Shared Access affects your organization's efficiency and workflow. 

To clarify, accessing the detailed view of a shared envelope requires Administrator privileges when using the direct link https://apps.docusign.com/send/documents/details/{envelopeId}. Users without administrator permissions must use the eSignature application menu options as described in the topic Manage or Edit an Envelope on Behalf of Another User.

Shared envelopes feature is now considered a legacy function. Therefore, it’s recommended to transition to the Shared Access feature for improved functionality. If you believe your organization would benefit from enhancements to this feature, you are encouraged to submit product feedback and suggestions through the Ideas portal where we collect feedback and suggestions to guide future product improvements 👉 Submit a feature request

Thank you very much for the detailed explanation and clarification.

I am wondering why this limitation was implemented for the new feature, allowing only admins to access via urls. It does not seem rational for me, maybe I am missing some part.

Additionally, the URL you shared with me to submit a feature request is redirecting to the same initial page where I submitted the current question.
