Hi DocuSign Support,

I’m reaching out because my account is still showing my old last name in certain places, even after I’ve updated all visible profile settings.

I’ve taken the following steps:

  • Updated my Full Name in profile settings (under the top right profile icon)

  • Updated my Signature Profile name

Despite these updates, my old name is still appearing in the personal message window to the signer — specifically, the message displays for example like this:

"Anna Smith" "Anna Johnson"

I’m unsure where this legacy name is being pulled from, and would appreciate your help in correcting it globally across my account so that only my updated name is used in all communications and signing flows.

Please let me know if anything else needs to be changed manually on your end or if I need to reconfigure any specific fields.

I understand that you would like your correct name to show in the message to a signer when you send an envelope. Rest assured, I’m here to assist.

You can edit your name under Admin Tab > Account Profile > Account Name, then save changes below.

Update Your Account Name and Address

The account name is a global value for every user on your Docusign account. The account name displays in notification emails to recipients and in the account drop down menu. This value can only be changed by an account administrator.

  1. From the Accounts view, select Account Profile. The screenshot shows Account Profile in the Account view.
  2. To edit your account name:
    1. Select Edit next to your current account name.

      The Change Account Name widow opens.

    2. In the Change Account Name window, enter the new value, and select Change Name.The screenshot shows the Change Account Name window.
  3. To edit your account address:
    1. Scroll down to the Account Address section at the end of the Account Profile page.
    2. Change the values for the address fields as needed.

      All fields with a red asterisk (*) must be completed.

    3. Select Save.
The changes are saved.
