Hello - Please Please help me! I have been working on this for 2 full days and i could cry! I have 100 x Deed of Novations to send to employees before the COB today. The “Deed” Document is pretty straight forward it just needs the following fields merged from a CSV file i have all set up

I want the below 3 fields to be populated before it gets sent to the employee

  1. Employee Full Name
  2. Employee Address
  3. Employee Commencement Date

Then I just need standard - Signature, Name and date signed. These are the only bits I need the employee to fill out.

I have watched so many videos to try work this out and I just cant - I cant get the bulk CSV file to import but it doesn't populate the document even when i put the “matching fields” listed above in. every time I send it goes to everyone but has no prefilled information or prompt to sign.

I live in Australia i am that desperate i happy to pay someone to talk me through this!

Hello @BecSteele

Thanks for reaching out, and a warm welcome to the Docusign Community!  We are absolutely delighted to have you here and can't wait to share our knowledge with you.

I understand the issue with bulk sending where the imported data did not populate, resulting in no prefilled information for your recipients. We're sorry about this experience, and let's work together to sort this out.

While you've mentioned you already worked on this, let's review the process step by step to ensure everything is configured correctly.

  1. Begin by editing your template. Add the Text boxes and assign/rename specific Data Labels
  • Textbox 1 Data Label: Employee Full Name
  • Textbox 2 Data Label: Employee Address
  • Textbox 3 Data Label: Employee Commencement Date
  1. Next, add Standard fields: Signature, Name, and Date Signed fields.
  1. Use the template to initiate the Bulk Send. This is important: download a new CSV file and manually input the data. Kindly confirm that the data is formatted correctly and the column header matches the field names in your Docusign template. It will look like this.
  1. Finally, here's what it looks like when received. The recipients will receive the document with the prefilled information.

Note: When previewing documents in a bulk send, prefill information will not be visible. However, this information will be displayed correctly on the recipient's side once they receive the document. Regarding those previous envelopes that were sent without prefilled information, individual corrections can be made. For more information on correcting envelopes, see: Correct an Envelope

For detailed instructions on the bulk sending process, please refer to the article: Bulk Send Work Process

I recommend running some tests before sending to confirm the accurate appearance and functionality of the agreement. This will help identify potential issues and ensure recipients receive the correct information. If you encounter any issues that are not resolved by the steps provided, and the matter is urgent, consider opening a support case and requesting a callback from Technical support. This will allow for a screen-sharing session to troubleshoot the problem. 👉 How can I request a phone call from Docusign Support?
