I signed a contracted in 2023, but never got a completed email from docusign (or I cannot find it, not in the spam folder either). How do I retrieve the contract? Can it be locate by the sender and signer’s email addresses?

I didn’t log in when I signed so couldn’t use my account to locate either. The document was sent to an .edu email address for signature. Everytime after I signed a doc, it asked me to sign in, and then it will take me to the EDU log in page instead of docusign. I tried contacting support but it always saying unable to log in

Omg Iam in the same position.  Please anyone to help us

@hsinihsu and @Renex

In order to get access to a document you either need to log into your Docusign account, if you have one or you can access it via the email notification from Docusign, e.g. the completed email notification.

If you don’t have a Docusign account and no access to an email notification, you will need to reach out to the sender and ask them to provide you a copy of the signed document. You will not be able to retrieve it directly from Docusign.

@Michael.Rave thank you for your reply. Like a mentioned, I used my .edu email, and everytime after I signed, it will ask me to log in to my .edu account (instead of docusign account. Super weird! FYI - the edu account is @utexas,edu)

Anyways, how come I didn’t receive a confirmation/completed email from Docusign after I signed? Is it a system error, or could be a setting from the sender?

If I ask the sender directly, how do I know if the doc/signature is forged?

The document must be somewhere within Docusign. Could Docusign help to send me a copy please?

@hsinihsu

Unfortunately, Docusign cannot send you a copy of a document stored in the platform.

It sounds like the things that you signed were a Docusign PowerForm, e.g. filling out a specific form or application? In that case there is a setting for the sender, if the signer should receive a copy of the document or not. Some customers choose not to, but then provide the document, e.g. in a secure portal that the signer has access to.

When you receive the signed document, you can validate it’s authenticity with various PDF readers, like Adobe Acrobat. If is was signed with Docusign eSignature, it will contain an envelope Id at the top of the document and an electronic seal.

Thanks @Michael.Rave . It was a contract that I signed. Not an application. Is it also a setting from the sender side?

How do I know if the contract was really signed if I didn't get a confirmation email from DocuSign?

@hsinihsu

As stated before it depends on how the contract was signed, if you should have received a confirmation email or not. Either way Docusign is unable to assist you with getting access to that contract. You need to contact the sender.
