Hello DocuSign Community,

I would like to know on controlling access and signups using our organization's email domain.

  1. How can we stop users from signing up for DocuSign accounts using our domain email (e.g., @ourdomain.com) without admin approval or outside our managed DocuSign account?
  1. How can we prevent users from creating external (unmanaged) DocuSign accounts with our domain email address and ensure they are only added under our official account?

Is there a way to claim and manage our domain to enforce this?

Thank you for reaching out, and welcome to the Docusign Community! I appreciate you bringing your question to this Community.  Rest assured that I will do my best to assist you.

Yes, you can claim and manage your domain to prevent users from signing up or creating an external account using your domain outside the Organization.

First, your account must have an Organization created, then you must claim your domain.

Once the domain is claimed, you can enable “Prevent unmanaged signups” - Domain users cannot create new accounts nor be added to external accounts if they are using an email address of the claimed domain. These users can only be added to accounts linked to your organization. They must either be created by your administrator or provisioned by just-in-time provisioning.

  1. From the Organization view, select Domains.
  2. In the same row of the domain name, select Actions > Settings.
  3. Under Sign-up settings > select  “Prevent unmanaged signups.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Select Save to save the change.

Note: Some advanced features and options are supported only in specific Docusign plans. Your account plan might not support some of the options discussed in this help topic. Contact your account administrator for more information about which options are available for your account.
