Recently my tag colors are all of the sudden Pastel colors. When I need 3 signatures, I can’t even tell 2 of the colors apart because they are so light and almost exactly the same color...just maybe a slightly different shade of Baby blue for example. Can I change somewhere in setting to different colors? Thanks so much

Hello @Lieber1,

Thank you for reaching out, and a warm welcome to the Docusign Community! Your presence here is highly valued, and we're excited to share our knowledge with you.

I understand the tag colors are sudden pastel colors, and you would like to know how to change them from the settings. I can imagine how this might disrupt your workflow, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Rest assured, I will make my best effort to help you.

Currently, there isn't a way to control/customize this. The use of lighter pastel colors isn't new. However, there is a new refreshed color scheme for fields used in the eSignature agreement creation and signing experiences to match our current branding. More information here: New and Enhanced Features. Your opinion about not being able to differentiate between the different shades of light blue is valuable and could be a valid enhancement. We always welcome feedback that can improve our users’ experience, and I encourage you to share your idea for review by our development team for possible implementation. If you’re a Docusign Administrator for a corporate plan, you can file your request through a support case or by contacting your Account Team. Otherwise, we invite you to share your product suggestions and feature requests on our dedicated ideas page (https://community.docusign.com/ideas), where we can collaborate to shape the future of our product together.

Note: Some advanced features and options are supported only in specific Docusign plans. Your account plan might not support some of the options discussed in this help topic. Contact your account administrator for more information about which options are available for your account. Or, visit our Plans and Pricing web page for more details on the features included with your plan. Compare eSignature plans & pricing.

@Lieber1 :

Glad I’m not the only one thrown by the random new color scheme. I keep thinking I’ve added my signers in the wrong order because the colors are “wrong”.

It is amazing how little thought is given to how people use DocuSign when these changes are made.

Hope you get used to the new scheme soon (but you know, as soon as you do, they’ll change it again...)

If you go past 2 signatures, 3 or 4, depending on your device, the colors look EXACTLY the same! most things in my business are very fast paced and THIS caused me to have to void a document and retag and send which cost me a bunch of time. The response I got back(seemed like AI) made no mention of correcting this or even giving the option to try give a choice on colors. This is clearly a case of complete disconnect in provider and customer. I mean, the pastels are cute and all but not at ALL practical when you can’t tell the tags apart! I am hoping that if enough people will complain, maybe they will change it back to make it easier on us. I see NO reason other than boredom that they would change the tag colors to pastels!

@Lieber1 :

I did create a suggestion/request in the “ideas” tab - hopefully it will get some votes and at least let DocuSign know people would like to control the color choices. Personally, I think the new colors look too “cute” - not at all professional.

I completely agree that this change is unnecessary and very confusing. There should be a way to change the colors back to what they were before this update. Thank you DocuSign for making things more difficult just to “match your current branding”. Do any of the people who implement these changes actually use DocuSign??

Honestly, this change is very impactful for me. I’m colorblind and this makes using DocuSign nearly impossible. @Docusign Community @Melanie.Panguito

AGREE with a lot of the post on this thread about the tag colors changing, there was no need for that, its messing up a lot of us, very annoying for no reason, plus the blue and green are so similar, I am having to check, double check colors, and already sent tabs to wrong signers!  This is inefficient, and adds frustration to the day for no reason. I would like to kindly put in a request to change it back or at least make the colors more distinct like they were before. Thank you.

@Lieber1 , @Nicole P , @L.Valdez11, @mharary :

There is a post in “ideas” with the subject line “Ability to control the color scheme” - not sure if voting for it will change anything, but there doesn’t seem to be any other way to let DocuSign know this change in the product was unhelpful.

I agree the pastel blue and pink colors for the fields are unprofessional especially since the first two fields that are, typically, joint signers on a DocuSign packet. Even though the signers do not see these colors, it makes DocuSign appear that they are assuming a male (blue) is signing first and a female (pink) would be signing second, which is not a good look either. Added on top that the colors are hard to differentiate, it’s a total fail on their “rebrand”.

The pastel colors on the tags aren’t what my signatories are looking for from a “formal” esignature. I have been using DocuSign for YEARS and this has never been this way! Very upset that I can’t change the colors. The original colors were actually more my school’s colors. These bright pastel/neon type colors look so unprofessional - and not at all like it actually is legitimate. This is a very big concern for me.

Hello @Lieber1 , @Nicole P , @L.Valdez11, @mharary  @EGF @levansgt,

I REALLY HOPE they fix this! It has been an ongoing problem where the colors are way too close and I have had numerous problems with wrong signatures/initials because I can’t tell the difference. This should not be something that’s an issue for so many people or a change to make! Very Unhappy about this - I used to be able to see the difference easily with Yellow, Green and Purple.

PLEASE FIX THIS DOCUSIGN!!!  **GRRRRR***

The pastel tag colors are really bad especially the blue and green which have very little contrast. Docusign has made a few changes over the last two years that did not enhance the user experience and these pastels are one of them. Why change a process that works well?  It would be great if you could change the colors back to the way they were prior to the pastels.

@slhakes:

I agree with you completely.

If you haven’t already, consider upvoting the following:

 Ability to control the color scheme,

So far nothing has come of the “ideas” but there is a community moderator/DocuSign employee who checks in on the thread occasionally. We keep hoping that it will create some change in the color scheme.
