My understanding is that DocuSign checks the validity of the QES signature of the signer before accepting it and moving forward the envelope. Is it correct? If so, how does it work? Is there any written resource/document that explains it? Thanks

Thank you for reaching out here in the DocuSign Community.
Are you referring to after the recipient signs the document or prior to the sender sending the document?

Hello,
I am referring to after the recipient signs the document and to before me, as original sender, receive it back.
Thank you
Hello,
The normal procedure is described here https://support.docusign.com/s/document-item?bundleId=yca1573855023892&topicId=qtp1635247113600.html&_LANG=enus the verification is made prior to signing the document after the signers pass that authentication the signer can sign the envelope.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. I would need a little bit more specification. Let's suppose the signer is required to sign with an Signer Held EU Qualified and it is not issued by DocuSign but by a third TSP. The case is the one described here:
Sign with a signer-held digital certificate
Does the DocuSign platform perform a check on the validity of such signature before completing the process?
In other words, once the sender receives back the envelope with the document signed with a QES, can he be 100% sure that such signature is genuine and valid?
Many thanks,
Hello,
In those instances, if the requirements are not met, an error while signing will show during the session.

Hello,
Many thanks for your reply. That is exactly what I was hoping to hear. Is there any DocuSign document or resource that talks about that instance? Even a technical paper would be fine. I just need a reference actually.
Many thanks.
Kind regards,
Hello,
In the link that you provide, you can find this "If the sender requires you to sign with a signer-held certificate, then you must provide a digital certificate to complete the signing process", or do you need a more acceptable statement?
If that is the case it would be best to create a case with DocuSign Support and the case will be routed to a specialized support team that can provide you with more information.
