Trying to correct an envelope and I get this error, how do I correct it?

Hello Friends, Chet Raj from BatchNepal here,

For a temporary workaround you can:

Go to your agreement: Dashboard → envelopes → sent

Click on 3 dots (options) → copy → agreement editor will appear.
Edit → save and send it. Delete previous one.

Hope they fix this bug trial users are facing. It brings negative impression on the product for advanced users like us.

I have the same issue and concerned that even paid versions encounter bugs without reading a fix provided in this forum.

We were thinking about paying a plan to use DocuSign at corporate level so started with the free (5 envelopes) trial version, but cannot imagine having envelopes stuck and no hotline caring about it! 😶

If I do not get support from the DocuSign hotline within 24 hours, alternative solutions will be found to avoid any work stop (our documents shall not be blocked by a tool).

Hello @Marrie @Patrick_LECLERCQ,

Thanks for reaching out to the Docusign Community! We apologize for the error message encountered when attempting to correct envelopes and understand the disruption this causes to your workflow as well as the negative initial impression as first time users. Happy to clarify this behavior.

Some advanced features and options are supported only in specific Docusign plans:

  • The ability to correct envelopes is available to users with paid Docusign plans.
  • Free accounts do not have access to the the correct feature.
  • While Business Pro 30-day free trials are treated as paid account, and the correct feature is usually available for some free trials, Docusign has restricted the envelope correction feature for free trials in the EU and NA4 regions due to a security incident.

If you do not have the option to correct an envelope, the workaround is to void the existing envelope, copy, and send it as a new one. If you have reached the free envelope allowance limit for your trial version, you can upgrade to a paid plan. Here is an article for your reference: Common sending issues > Need to correct an envelope.

I hope I answered your question. Let us know if you need further assistance. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Melanie | Docusign Community Moderator
